ABOUT YA CAMP
But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. 24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4: 23-24
At “Young Adult Camp,” we will learn that the Holy Spirit performs many functions. He is the Spirit of truth, the Spirit of unity, the Spirit of love, the Spirit of life, the Spirit of growth, and the Spirit of power. According to Scripture, the Holy Spirit is a miracle worker, a gift-giver, and the master builder of the church. The focus of this year’s theme will help you gain a better appreciation for and a fuller understanding of the identity and purpose of the Holy Spirit.
The camp will focus on four areas where we believe young adults will be exposed to the mission previously stated above; first, hosting workshops that tackle topics surrounding our theme in conjunction with our identity, sexuality, purposeful living, sin, and relaxed morality that are fighting for the attention of our young adults today. Second, we encourage YA to get to know each other by hosting interactive games and moments of fellowship to promote positive Christ-like relationships and friendships. Thirdly, we will also create ample space for anointed worship and powerful messages at our general sessions encouraging YA to seek an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. Lastly, as a Pentecostal and biblically-based community, we desire the Spirit of God to operate throughout each session and altar call moment where we believe the inner soul work happens; therefore will encourage YA to engage in altar call moments where they can practice the power of confession and will be prayed over by our leaders.
